Project Support Officer   

JOB PACK 

Severn Wye is seeking a highly organised, individual to join our team as a Project Support Officer. This pivotal role sits at the heart of our energy advice service, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective management of the project across multiple funded projects. 

You will monitor project performance, produce reports for funders, maintain high-quality data and identify trends that support informed decisions. Using CRM data base, Excel and Power BI, you will oversee referral management and support with quality assurance.

This role will include 

  • Experience using CRM or database systems to manage, validate and maintain sensitive information. 

  • Manage the import, validation, triage and allocation of referrals in line with contractual criteria. 

  • Analyse project performance, adviser capacity and referral trends to maximise service delivery and achievement of targets. 

  • Support the wider management team with reporting required by funders.  

  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues on project systems, acting as the first point of contact for data and reporting queries. 

  • Develop and improve automated reporting processes, data visualisations and workflows to support decision-making and operational efficiency. 

  • Conduct data quality audits, identify trends, anomalies and reporting risks, and implement improvements. 

  • Maintain project documentation, financial trackers and audit records in line with GDPR and funding requirements. 

  • Support the wider Community Advice team with project administration and other reasonable duties required to deliver funded services. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

We are looking for someone with 

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain data, systems and processes to colleagues with varying levels of technical knowledge. 

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to improving systems, automating processes and increasing efficiency. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, quality and integrity.

  • GDPR and data protection understanding. 

Desirable attributes, skills and experience include 

  • Experience using CharityLog or another case management or CRM system.  

  • Confidence in using Excel to produce data relevant to reporting requirements.  

  • Experience working with funded projects, contract monitoring, KPI reporting or management information.  

  • Experience supporting colleagues through systems training and technical troubleshooting.  

  • Knowledge of fuel poverty, energy advice, housing or community services.  

  • NEA Level 3 Energy Advice qualification, or willingness to undertake relevant training.  

  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable communities.
